Quick answer

These are real photos from moves done by Om Packers & Logistics in Gurgaon and across India: furniture wrapped in corrugated sheet and stretch film, appliances in cartons, bikes in foam and trucks loaded the right way.

What good packing looks like

Anyone can say they pack carefully. These photos show what that means in practice. Every picture on this page is from a real job done by our team in and around Gurugram: homes in high-rise societies and builder floors, offices, and cars and bikes on their way to other cities.

Look closely and you will see the same habits again and again. Furniture is wrapped in layers, not just covered with a sheet. Corners and edges have extra protection. Cartons are sealed, stacked by weight and marked by room. Bikes are wrapped in foam and cardboard with the handlebars and mirrors protected. Trucks are loaded with heavy items at the bottom and fragile things secured on top.

Furniture packing

Sofas, beds, wardrobes, dining tables and almirahs take the most knocks during a move, so they get the most protection. We dismantle what can be dismantled, keep screws and fittings in labelled bags, and wrap each piece in bubble wrap or foam, then corrugated sheet, then stretch film. Glass tops and mirrors get their own cardboard frames. This is the work you see in many of the photos above.

Appliance and electronics packing

Fridges, washing machines, TVs, microwaves and computers are packed upright where needed, with foam padding and corner protection. Fridges are defrosted and dried before the move. Washing machine drums are secured so they do not swing in transit. TVs travel in padded cartons or wooden crates.

Vehicle packing

For bike transport we drain extra fuel, remove or fold mirrors, and wrap the whole bike in foam, cardboard and stretch film before loading it in a closed truck. Cars travel in car carriers, and we record their condition with photos at pickup and delivery.

Loading and transport

A well-packed home can still be damaged by poor loading. Our team loads heavy, flat items first, fills gaps so nothing shifts, ties loads with ropes and belts and places fragile cartons where nothing can fall on them. Every long distance move goes in a closed container truck to keep out rain, dust and sun.

How we pack a 2 BHK in a day

The photos above show the end result. Here is how a typical 2 BHK packing day runs. A team of four or five arrives in the morning with cartons, bubble wrap, foam, corrugated rolls, stretch film and tools. The supervisor walks through the home with you and agrees what goes, what stays and what you will carry yourself. One packer starts on the kitchen, the slowest room to pack because of crockery and glass. Two others dismantle beds and wardrobes and wrap furniture. Another packs books, clothes and decor into labelled cartons. By early afternoon, most of the home is packed and loading starts, heavy pieces first. By evening, the truck is loaded and the home is empty and swept.

The packing material you see in our photos

  • Brown five-ply cartons for books, clothes, kitchen items and general goods.
  • Clear bubble wrap as the first layer on furniture, electronics and fragile items.
  • Corrugated sheets and rolls as the second layer on furniture, mirrors and table tops.
  • Stretch film as the outer layer, sealing everything against dust and moisture.
  • Foam sheets for polished wood, bikes and electronics.
  • Tape and labels for sealing and marking room and contents.

Photos from the moving day itself

On long distance moves, our supervisor often sends you photos on WhatsApp while your home is being packed and when the truck is loaded. You can see how your furniture was wrapped, how the cartons were stacked and how the load was secured before the truck left Gurgaon. At delivery, the team checks each item against the inventory with you. Many of the photos on this page came from exactly these updates. If you would like this for your move, just ask your supervisor on the day and they will share photos at each stage.

Why photos matter when choosing movers

Every moving company says it packs carefully. Photos of real jobs let you check. Look for furniture that is fully wrapped, not just covered with a sheet. Look for sealed, labelled cartons stacked neatly. Look for closed trucks and secured loads. If a mover cannot show you real photos of their work, ask why. Stock photos of smiling models in clean uniforms tell you nothing about how your sofa will be wrapped. We are happy to share more photos and videos of similar homes during your survey, and you can also see photos posted by customers on our Google listing.

Packing for different kinds of homes

High-rise flats need fast, organised packing because lift slots are limited. We stage packed cartons near the door and move them in batches during the booked time. Builder floors and older homes often mean stairs, so cartons are kept to a weight one person can carry safely and heavy furniture gets extra helpers. Villas and large independent houses have more furniture, garden items and storerooms, so we bring a bigger team and plan two days for very large homes. PG rooms and studios are quick: often a two-person team and a small vehicle can finish in a couple of hours.

What customers say about our packing

★★★★★

I was nervous about my crockery and showpieces. They wrapped every piece separately with bubble wrap and cartons. Everything arrived perfect. The supervisor kept me updated on WhatsApp the whole time.

We only needed packing because the company arranged transport. Om Packers sent a team of four who packed our 3 BHK in a day with good quality cartons. Very neat work.

High-rise move with strict society rules. They spoke to the facility office, booked the service lift and finished within the allowed time. Furniture was wrapped properly and nothing was damaged.
