These terms of service apply to all moving, packing, transport and storage services provided by Om Packers & Logistics, H.No.180, PH-3 Gali, Ashok Vihar, Ashok Vihar Phase III Extension, Gurugram, Haryana 122001. By booking a service with us, you agree to these terms. Last updated on 2026-10-03.
Quotes and bookings
- Quotes are based on the survey and the information you give us. If the volume of goods, addresses, floors, lift access or dates change, the price may be revised, and we will tell you before any work starts.
- A booking is confirmed when you accept the written quote and pay the agreed advance, if any.
- Quotes are valid for the period mentioned on them.
Charges and payment
- The quote lists packing, labour, transport and any optional services. GST, transit insurance, toll and state entry taxes, lift or society charges and parking charges are shown separately where they apply.
- Unless agreed otherwise, the balance is payable on delivery, before unloading is completed. We accept cash, UPI and bank transfer.
- Waiting time caused by delays at the customer's end, such as late keys, lift not available or society permission not ready, may be charged as stated in the quote.
Your responsibilities
- Give accurate details of the goods to be moved and declare high-value or fragile items before packing.
- Arrange society, building and parking permissions, or ask us in advance to help with them.
- Keep cash, jewellery, important documents, medicines and personal electronics with you. We do not accept responsibility for these unless specifically declared and agreed in writing.
- Do not hand over prohibited or hazardous items such as gas cylinders, fuel, explosives, chemicals, illegal goods, or perishable food.
- Be present, or have a representative present, at packing and delivery to check and sign the inventory.
Packing and handling
We pack with professional materials and trained staff. Items packed by the customer (owner packed) are moved at the customer's risk for internal damage. Some items, such as particle board furniture, very old furniture or items with existing damage, may be weakened by dismantling or moving, and we will point these out during the survey.
Transit insurance
Transit insurance is available on request at a percentage of the declared value of goods. Claims are settled by the insurance company according to its terms. Without insurance, our liability for loss or damage is limited as stated in the quote and the consignment note. Any damage must be noted on the delivery receipt and reported to us within 48 hours of delivery, with photos.
Delivery timelines
We give estimated delivery dates in good faith. Delays caused by weather, road closures, strikes, government restrictions, accidents or other events beyond our control are not our liability, but we will keep you informed throughout.
Cancellations and rescheduling
You may reschedule free of charge if you inform us at least 48 hours before the moving date, subject to availability. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the move may lose the advance paid, as stated in the quote.
Survey and inventory
The survey records the goods to be moved and the access at both addresses. On moving day, an inventory list is prepared and signed by you and our supervisor. Please check this list carefully. At delivery, goods are checked against the same inventory. Goods not listed in the inventory are moved at the customer's risk.
Dismantling, reassembly and fittings
Our team dismantles and reassembles standard furniture such as beds, wardrobes and tables. Electrical, plumbing and civil work, such as AC installation, geyser fitting, wall drilling for heavy fixtures or modular kitchen work, is not part of the standard service unless written in the quote. We can arrange technicians on request at an extra charge.
Lifts, societies and permissions
The customer is responsible for permission from housing societies, building management, landlords and other authorities at both addresses, including lift bookings, gate passes and any deposits. We will help where we can, but delays or extra costs caused by missing permissions are the customer's responsibility.
Storage
Stored goods are kept in our warehouse against an inventory. Storage charges are payable monthly in advance. Goods may not be released while charges are unpaid.
Prohibited items
For safety and legal reasons, we do not pack or carry the following items:
- Gas cylinders, petrol, diesel, kerosene and other fuels.
- Explosives, fireworks, firearms and ammunition.
- Chemicals, acids, paints, thinners and corrosive or flammable substances.
- Illegal goods, narcotics and items banned under Indian law.
- Perishable food and live animals.
- Cash, bullion and negotiable instruments.
If prohibited items are found in packed goods, we may refuse to carry them, and the customer is responsible for any loss, damage or legal action caused by them.
Damage and claims process
- Note visible damage on the delivery receipt at the time of unloading.
- Report the damage to us within 48 hours, with photos and the carton or item number.
- We inspect the item, in person or by video, and share our findings.
- Where transit insurance applies, we help you file the claim with the insurer and share the documents needed.
- Where no insurance applies, compensation is limited as stated in the quote and consignment note.
Claims are not accepted for items packed by the customer, for internal mechanical or electrical faults where there is no external damage, for normal wear and tear, or for damage caused by the condition of the item before the move.
Delivery and access
The customer must make sure there is safe and legal access for our vehicle and team at both addresses. If a truck cannot reach the door, a shuttle vehicle or extra carrying distance may be charged. If nobody is available to receive the goods at the agreed time, waiting charges or storage charges may apply, and redelivery will be scheduled at a new time.
Packing material and cartons
We use new or good-condition packing material suited to each item: five-ply cartons for books and kitchenware, bubble wrap and foam for fragile goods, corrugated sheets for furniture edges, stretch film for upholstery and wooden crates for very delicate items when agreed in the quote. Cartons and packing material used for your move become part of the service and are not collected back unless agreed. If you want us to reuse your own cartons, we check them first and may refuse cartons that are too weak to protect your goods.
Goods packed by the customer
If you choose to pack some cartons yourself, please seal and label them clearly. We transport self-packed cartons with the same care as our own, but we cannot accept responsibility for breakage of contents inside cartons we did not pack, unless the outer carton shows clear signs of damage during transit. Our team can check and repack self-packed cartons on request at an extra charge.
Waiting time and extra work
Our quote assumes that goods are ready for packing when the team arrives and that the new home is ready for unloading on delivery. If the team or truck has to wait for more than one hour because of delays at the customer's end, such as keys not being available, society permission not ready or the new home not being vacant, waiting charges may apply. Extra work that is not part of the quote, such as packing additional rooms, carrying goods by stairs when a lift was promised or making extra trips, is charged as agreed with you before the work is done.
Electrical, plumbing and carpentry work
Our team disconnects and reconnects common appliances such as washing machines and televisions as part of the move. Work that needs a licensed technician, such as air conditioner uninstallation and installation, gas connections, geyser and chimney fitting, or electrical wiring, is arranged through third-party technicians on request and charged at their rates. We are not responsible for the technical work done by these technicians, but we help you resolve any issue with them.
Communication and updates
For local moves, your supervisor is your single point of contact on moving day. For long distance moves and vehicle transport, we share the truck or carrier details and update you on the progress of the shipment by phone or WhatsApp. Please keep your phone reachable on the delivery date so that the team can coordinate unloading with you.
Force majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, extreme weather, floods, fire, epidemics, riots, strikes, road blockades, accidents not caused by our negligence, or government orders.

We are not liable for indirect losses such as loss of income, missed travel or hotel costs.
Communication
