We bring the right material, pack each item the way it needs to be packed and label everything so it is easy to find and unpack later.

You can book packing as part of a full move with us, or packing only, if your employer has arranged transport or you are moving goods into storage. We also offer unpacking at your new home, so you can live normally from the first night.

How we pack different items

Glass and crockery

Each plate, glass and bowl is wrapped separately. Plates travel on their edges, which is stronger than lying flat. Cartons are padded at the bottom and top, with dividers for glasses. Cartons are marked as fragile and with an arrow showing which way is up.

Furniture

Furniture is dismantled where possible. Each piece is wrapped in bubble wrap or foam, then corrugated sheet, then stretch film, with extra protection on corners and legs. Screws and fittings go in labelled bags taped to the main piece.

Electronics

TVs, computers, music systems and small appliances go into padded cartons, ideally their original boxes if you still have them. Cables are bagged and labelled. Large TVs can be crated.

Appliances

Fridges are defrosted and dried, shelves secured, and the body wrapped with corner protection. Washing machine drums are locked. Microwaves, ovens and water purifiers are packed with padding.

Clothes, books and documents

Clothes go into wardrobe cartons or sealed cartons. Books are packed in small cartons so they are not too heavy to lift. Documents are packed in sealed cartons and kept separate.
